ABGESAGT DevOps & Infrastructure Meetup

Seit Januar findet wieder das DevOps & Infrastructure Meetup statt – gemeinsam und im Wechsel mit InVision in unserer direkten Nachbarschaft. Dieses Mal bei uns mit zwei Talks:

19:00 – Doors, dinner & drinks

19:45 – What is eBPF and how to use it for monitoring Kubernetes by Frank Spiess

eBPF allows for running code at the Linux kernel level. We will look into how a basic eBPF application is run on an Amazon EC2 instance. Going further we will use Cilium and Hubble to observer the network flow in an EKS Kubernetes cluster. The main difference to typical observability methods is that in this case, no sidecar container is needed, because the traffic inspection will be done at the kernel level.

20:15 – Break

20:45 – How automated documentation generation enforces good architecture practice on an example of AWS Serverless by Krzysztof Korzuowicz

Architecture (understood as communication about goals and their implementation), an area of critical importance when building large environments based on cloud has barely kept up with the scale and speed of change of Cloud. But there are ways to deal with architecture using the same capabilities as for Cloud – automation. An example of methods to translate from business maps to automated implementation diagrams will be shown.

21:30 – Drinks, chat & networking
22:00 – Official end of the event
